Leanne Simmons
Born in Coventry, I studied for my Masters degree on a scholarship at The University of California in Los Angeles in my early twenties. I used my time in America to really develop my sketching skills, often drawing the places of interest surrounding me in L.A. such as Santa Monica Pier. I drew inspiration from regular visits to The Getty Center and enjoyed experimenting with effects used by other artists in their works displayed there.
I now live in Warwickshire with my family where I create my paintings using oil paints and watercolours in my bright studio, selling my original works and limited edition prints online through my social media channels.
A large part of my passion for painting comes from an enjoyment of connecting with others through my art. My striking skyscapes are made alla prima with oil paints and use brush strokes to add dimension and feeling to produce vibrant, emotion provoking pieces of art. I have a real love of wildlife and nature and a true passion for painting. The majority of my work involves capturing the things that bring me pleasure on canvas or paper. I paint with the hope of evoking feelings of joy or other emotions to anyone viewing my pieces.

Warwickshire Open Studios 2024
I’m looking forward to taking part in Warwickshire Open Studios ‘Summer Arts Week 2024’ following on from the wonderful event we had the last few years. I’ll be exhibiting this year from my home studio, Warwickshire Open Studios Summer Arts Week Exhibitor Number 101 from 22nd June 2024 to 7th July 2024. Leamington Art in The Park Festival 2024

This exciting collection of 40 of my works was viewed by over 2000 people throughout early 2022 at Arts Trail Gallery, Royal Priors Shopping Centre, Royal Leamington Spa. It was a wonderful event and I’m glad to have been able to bring some joy to those viewing my art. Please keep checking back for details of my next solo exhibition.

Purchasing My Art
All of my above works are available to purchase as signed fine art giclee prints. The original paintings marked * above are also available for sale. Please contact me using the form below for more information and I’ll get back to you. I have plentiful stock of most prints to hand. Other prints take up to 2 weeks to request from the print studio and I can discuss prices with you. Fine art giclee prints of my works are printed on museum quality archival paper and come with a certificate of authenticity. Prints onto canvas are also made using only the highest quality materials. Commissions welcome. My original paintings are priced from £120 (smaller watercolours) and from £240 (oil paintings) depending on size. Fine art giclee prints onto archival paper are priced from £36 for A4 mounted and from £48 for A3 mounted.
